On April 25, 2024, the second day of the Kick-off meeting of the Elevate-HER project laid the groundwork for three years of collaboration with a common goal: supporting female researchers in Senegalese higher education institutions (HEIs).

The Kick-Off Meeting (KoM) of the Elevate-HER project was held at the University of Alicante from April 24 to April 26, 2024. This significant event, organized by the project's coordinating university, began at 9:00 AM on April 24 with a welcome speech by Rosa María Martínez Espinosa, Vice-Rector for International Relations.

Some partners have participated in the “HER Academic Story” discussion panel telling their experience, views and challenges when starting a research career as women in Senegal.

During April 24 to 26, the Kick-off Meeting and Study Visit of the Elevate-HER Project took place at the University of Alicante, with the event continuing on April 29 and 30 at the Jean Monnet Saint-Étienne University (UJM) in France.
